Run for FREE with club membership of $45.  Members receive one complementary run,  technical t-shirt and either a finisher medal are included with your membership.  This is a timed 5k & 1 miler for those who purchased the membership. 

Koa Oasis on the South end of the Fort DeRussy Boardwalk.

A chip-timed race in the most popular island in Hawaii, Oahu with wave starts of less than 10 persons and maintaining CDC standards to assure a safe experience.  The course is on the boardwalk/beach/paths.   You may leave your valuables with the race team at the start.  Oahu Island is a runners paradise.  Runners from all over the world come here for an experience that locals cherish.  Be prepared to experience this place for your first time or umpteenth time with the challenge of our times.  The race will include limited support on the course, water is distributed at the start of the course providing an opportunities for support during the race .  Water will be provided in sealed plastic bottles that you will have to grab on your own in order to limit contact.  Splits will be provided at the completion of one loop and at the finish. Splits and finish time is ploaded LIVE.  Our timing equipment was designed using German Technology.  Live results will link directly to Raceresult.com.   Alternatively you may run with your phone and headphones and use the RaceJoy app to get auditory course guidance, mile and pace announcements, and so that your friends can watch your progress as well as send you cheers while you run.  Afterward, pick up your unique runners jersey and finishers medal.

The 3.1 m course consists of  2 Loops on the  Fort DeRussy boardwalk and park.

In addition, if /when you run with your phone your family and fans and track you via our GPS track timing app.   You must download the app and use your phone during the run if you want live direction during the run. We will send you instructions.

Digital Badge awards will be sent via email to the top three male and female runners overall.   Age group awards  will be awarded to the top three in each of the following age groups: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 and over.

Our races are planned to have no more than 20 runners on the course at one time.  If the zone where the race takes place changes from yellow to orange the waves will be reduced to 10 runners on the course.  Your start time will be 30 min. later for the 5K distance.

In order to receive an official time you must wear you bib on your torso. (not on your leg)

You must wear a mask and stay 6 feet apart from other runners.

You must be able to complete the half marathon in 3 hours or less.

Race numbers will be assign to you to participate – no bandits please.

All participants must sign both the USA Track & Field waiver and the City Tri Runs waiver form.

You must be at least 12 years old to participate.

You must be in good health and physically prepared to take on the challenge.

You must enter your name and last name along with your email address to sign in the app.

If you attempt to sell your race number, you may be banned from future racing.

Due to covid 19 we have changed our policy from  no refunds to credits to another race.  You need to let us know a week prior and complete your transfer online.

Transfers:

Up to 3 weeks prior to the event:  Participants will be eligible to transfer their race entry, to another event in our calendar.   Participants will receive a 100% credit of their current year’s entry fee (processing fee not included) to be applied to any CITYTRI race.   You must choose the race you want to transfer to in advance.   To redeem your credit please email alejandrareagan[at]hotmail.com.

Within 2 weeks to the event:  Participants will pay a $25. transfer fee to receive the credit to another event.

Registration Category Changes (Race Distance Changes):

Participants will be eligible to change their race category (change between race distances) up until 14 days before race day, through the MyEvents portal. After this date, runners will need to email to make an entry update.

Purchase Event Protection:

Booking Protect is offered through the ACTIVE Network, and provides insurance to runners so that they can get their entry fees back if they can’t participate in running events for covered reasons. The product, called Booking Protect, is located in the registration path on Active and can be purchased on the Check-Out page. All claims and refunds will go through Booking Protect.

Event Cancellation:

There is NO rain date, We Go Rain or Shine. In case of inclement weather, management reserves the right to cancel/alter/modify the race/course for safety concerns. In any case there will be No Refunds of race entry fees. Each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee paid. There is no complimentary race entry to a future race. All monies collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies, staffing, and administration. We pledge to make every effort to produce a fair, safe and exciting event for all. Any decision we make to go forth with the race is based on the overall event safety.
