THE COURSE
Note 1 – The park is open to pedestrians and cyclists. You must give them the right of way. This is not a closed course. You need to remain in the runners lane and never go into the lane for cyclists.
You will START on East Drive, approximately 1/3 of a mile east of the MEETING POINT. East Drive is the car free inner loop in Prospect Park. There is a pedestrian only lane on the inner curb of the loop.
You begin by running northeast on East Drive, for approximately 1 mile until you get to top of the highest incline (approximately 80-foot incline over a third of a mile). At the top you follow the course as it curves to the left and onto West Drive.
You continue for the second mile on a relatively flat segment of the course passing the open fields on your left until you get to beginning of the largest decline on the course (approximately 80 feet).
You continue onto a very flat segment for the third mile on West Drive and then back onto East Drive always following the course as it slightly curves to the left.
There is a road that intersects the Drives, Center Drive. To assure that you do not turn onto this road and stay the course we will have volunteers placed at both intersections.
Support stations with water, Gatorade, and HUMA power gels will be located at THREE POINTS on the course. You will access these 3 times for every loop. We suggest that you bring your own nutrition and water if you need to limit your contact. The beverages will be in compostable paper cups that you must discard appropriately at trash containers along the course or at the next water station. When you take a beverage or gel from the support station, please exit the area immediately so that other participants can access the space.
Half Marathon runners will complete their loop 4 times.
10 K runners will complete their loop 2 times.
5 K runners will complete their loop once.

TIMING
RESULTS and SPLITS PER LOOP are posted in our results page.
The splits are uploaded live allowing your friends at home or at the finish to track your time per loop.
We take video and pictures every time you complete a loop. Images of you crossing the finish line will be posted shortly after the race.
Yes! The start is chip timed= your time will start the moment you go over the mat. However, if you arrive late we cannot adjust your time especially if that affects the awards ceremony.
You must arrive on time and start within 2-3 minutes of your wave start.
BAG CHECK-IN
We recommend that you limit personal items for storage during the event. We will place your items in a clear plastic bag with a large number that matches your bib. This will allow us to see whether the personal item is recovered by the participant with the matching ID. We will direct you to the location where your bag is located after you finish.
