All participants have the same start and finish line. We and anyone else who you want will see you race in real time.  You’ll get splits, guidance, and cheers from your fan base during your run. You’ll get a final time that will compete against everyone else who ran the same course.  Just use our app and your phone while you race.

Take the PATH train to Journal Square.  Lincoln Park is only 1.5 miles from this stop.  You can either walk/run to the start or take a bus.  There are three bus lines from Journal Square that you can also take.  Bus lines 80 and 1 have stops at the entrance of Lincoln Park at Belmont Avenue and Westside Avenue.  Bus line 119 has a stop that is one block from the entrance at JFK Blvd. and Belmont Avenue.

The 5K course consists of  2 LOOPS
START & FINISH at same location – Crosswalk on north east corner of Circle with water fountain.
Follow Lookout Drive to West Park Drive overpass
Turn right on West Park Drive and cross overpass
U-Turn at the end of the overpass
Follow back onto Lakeview Drive, turn right onto Lakeview Drive
Follow loop back to the Start/Finish line.

Digital Badge awards will be sent via email to the top three male and female runners overall.   Age group awards  will be awarded to the top three in each of the following age groups: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 and over.

There is no support on the course!  This is a virtual race that you complete on your own time.  You must use your own discretion and follow social distancing rules.

In order to receive an official time you must use the phone app to have results sent to the race organizer.  .

You must be able to complete the half marathon in 3 hours or less.

Race numbers will be assign to you to participate – no bandits please.

All participants must sign both the USA Track & Field waiver and the City Tri Runs waiver form.

You must be at least 12 years old to participate.

You must be in good health and physically prepared to take on the challenge.

You must enter your name and last name along with your email address to sign in the app.

If you attempt to sell your race number, you may be banned from future racing.

Sorry we do not provide refunds of any kind.

Transfers:

Up to 4 weeks prior to the event:  Participants will be eligible to transfer their race entry, to another event in our calendar.   Participants will receive a 50% credit of their current year’s entry fee to be applied to any CITYTRI race.   You must choose the race you want to transfer to in advance.   To redeem your credit please email alejandrareagan[at]hotmail.com.

Within 4 weeks to the event:  Participants will pay a $25. transfer fee to receive the credit to another event.

Registration Category Changes (Race Distance Changes):

Participants will be eligible to change their race category (change between race distances) up until 14 days before race day, through the MyEvents portal. After this date, runners will need to email to make an entry update.

Purchase Event Protection:

Booking Protect is offered through the ACTIVE Network, and provides insurance to runners so that they can get their entry fees back if they can’t participate in running events for covered reasons. The product, called Booking Protect, is located in the registration path on Active and can be purchased on the Check-Out page. All claims and refunds will go through Booking Protect.

Event Cancellation:

There is NO rain date, We Go Rain or Shine. In case of inclement weather, management reserves the right to cancel/alter/modify the race/course for safety concerns. In any case there will be No Refunds of race entry fees. Each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee paid. There is no complimentary race entry to a future race. All monies collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies, staffing, and administration. We pledge to make every effort to produce a fair, safe and exciting event for all. Any decision we make to go forth with the race is based on the overall event safety.
