The seldom seen Freedom Tunnel will echo with the sound of your feet as you run over it and through NYC’s quintessential Riverside Park. Wedged between the historical Upper West Side neighborhood and the Hudson River this venue is known for its gorgeous views of Manhattan’s waterfronts, lush greenery and myriad walking and biking paths. Enjoy it all with a course that will leave you wanting to explore more of this 150 year old park designed by America’s renowned landscape architect Fredrick La Olmsted.

THE COURSE

Start on Hudson River Greenway and W 84th Street
The course consists of 1 loop for 5K and 2 Loops. Every loop is timed and splits uploaded in real time!

TIMING

Electronic timing and split per loop will be uploaded LIVE allowing your friends at home or at the finish to track your time per loop. We take video and pictures every time you complete a loop. Pictures are promptly uploaded at the end of the race.

AWARDS

Acrylic awards will be given to the top three male and female runners overall. Age group awards medals will be awarded to the top three in each of the following age groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69. Our awards ceremony banner is customized to every race.

PACKET PICK-UP

There will only be packet pick up for this event on race day. Meet at 8:00 a.m. on the promenade inside Riverside Park and W 84th street (NOT on W 108th street). You will need picture I.D. to pick up your bib.

RULES

You must wear your Bib on the outside of your clothing on your stomach in order to be guaranteed a time.

You must be able to complete the half marathon in 3 hours or less.

Race numbers are required to participate – no bandits please.

All participants must sign both the USA Track & Field waiver and the City Tri Runs waiver form.

You must be at least 14 years old to participate.

You must be in good health and physically prepared to take on the challenge.

You must show photo ID to receive your race number and timing tag.

Coaches, baby-joggers, bikes, dogs, in-line skates, skateboards or dogs will not be allowed on the course.

If you attempt to sell your race number, you may be banned from future racing.

We strongly recommend that you purchase ACTIVE REFUND when you register.
You will receive a refund if you are unwilling or unable to attend this event for any reason. Simply submit a refund request 48 hours prior to the start of the activity date.

Citytri offers LIMITED transfers/credits to another event. The deadline is 1 – 4 weeks depending on the event, transfer fees start at $25 and you must complete the transfer yourself. See instructions here.
