For many women & pregnant people around the world, distance is one of the greatest barriers to receiving lifesaving maternal health care. In the average time it takes a runner to complete a marathon, approximately 150 women will die from complications related to pregnancy & childbirth.
Join Every Mother Counts at this Mother’s Day Run to raise awareness and funds to make pregnancy and childbirth safe, respectful, and equitable for every mother, everywhere. Register through EMC or through active.
DIRECTIONS
The Peristyle also known as Grecian Shelter is located inside Prospect Park between Park side Avenue &, Parade Place, Brooklyn, NY
The closest access point to race start is from Parkside Ave. by the Peristyle. You may also go in through Park Circle on Prospect Park Southwest. You can however use any entrance from Park Slope and just follow the loop heading South towards the Lake. Closest train stops are the F,G to Fort Hamilton Pkwy and the Q train to Park Side. Check the MTA planner for train schedule. In google maps search for The Peristyle.

THE COURSE
The course consists of 4 loops for the Half, 2 for the 10K and 1 for the 5K. Every loop is timed live! Start by the Lefrak Ice skating rink and finish by the Greek Shelter/Peristyle.

TIMING
Electronic timing and split per loop will be uploaded LIVE allowing your friends at home or at the finish to track your time per loop. We take video and pictures every time you complete a loop. Pictures are promptly uploaded at the end of the race.
You must arrive on time and start within 2-3 minutes of your wave start. However, if you arrive late we cannot adjust your time especially if that affects the awards ceremony.

AWARDS
Huge acrylic awards will be given to the top three male and female runners overall in each distance: 13.1mi, 10K, 5K. Age group medals awards will be awarded to the top three in each of the following age groups: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 and over for the Half marathon. Age group medal awards to the top three male and female in each of the following age groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 & better. Our awards ceremony banner is customized to every race.
PACKET PICK-UP
There will only be packet pick up for this event on race day. Meet at the Greek Shelter starting at 8:00 a.m. You will need picture I.D. to pick up your bib.
RULES
You must wear your Bib on the outside of your clothing on your stomach in order to be guaranteed a time.
You must be able to complete the half marathon in 3 hours or less.
Race numbers are required to participate – no bandits please.
All participants must sign both the USA Track & Field waiver and the City Tri Runs waiver form.
You must be at least 12 years old to participate.
You must be in good health and physically prepared to take on the challenge.
You must show photo ID to receive your race number and timing tag.
Coaches, baby-joggers, bikes, dogs, in-line skates, skateboards or dogs will not be allowed on the course.
If you attempt to sell your race number, you may be banned from future racing.
